Thunderbird open links in Firefox, while Opera is the default browser...

The first thing to do is add the lines:

network.protocol-handler.app.http=/usr/bin/opera

network.protocol-handler.app.https=/usr/bin/opera

and then turn this to true:

network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http=true

restart thunderbird and try to open a link... now thunderbird asks about the browser...

set /usr/bin/opera and check "remember"...

Create a user.js in your profile folder in the same location as
../AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/*****.default/prefs.js
